But as a starting point . . . the dating game. You all seemed to recognize some of them.

Sure, there's details we've all been learning.

[ A beat. ]

I've shown you what I know of Wilhelm. I've met him, too, here in the suite. I'm sure you've looked around, but the pink door that has 'the Legends of the Unholy Disorder' on it is... A place where we can connect with older family members.

Family members who've - I don't think they've died necessarily because they're Legends. They disappeared, because they were forgotten?

[mulls that over, frowning a little. He nods after a moment]

So would a performance like the dating game be a way to bring them back? Because we're learning about them in some manner?

Yeah, they've started being able to do more because people are remembering them. They're the ones who renovated our suites.

I spent a while trying to talk to them? So they've given me a couple things.

[ For emphasis he tugs out an old chain with a rusted coin on it from beneath his shirt collar and moves to the bag where he takes out a giant chicken plushie and puts an iridescent feather next to it. ]

The chicken and feather is from Riu. Who I think was 'Smile' in the dating performance. They said they liked chickens and she was supposed to be a young school girl. It fit the vibe.

[he leans closer to look at the items, humming softly]

I didn't know you could speak to them outside of the performances.

Are these just representations of them . . . ? Or are they items that belonged to them at some point?

They used to not be able to, but they can now.

[ He shakes his head. ] I'm not sure about the coin. I should ask, it was given to me after I introduced myself. The stuff from Riu was a present to me, after I visited them a lot.

Maybe the coin is just another thing meant to remind you of them? Though it could hold meaning, too . . .

Do you speak to them often?

Maybe. The room is now full of different items, which I have the feeling belonged to them.

[ He can't be sure, though. ]

Every day for a while. Still pretty regularly, though. Not usually to anyone specific, though.

Would they talk to me if I went in there?

[restitui]

They might? I don't see why they wouldn't - Especially the ones we met in the performance.


[ a beat, ]

There's - I have a theory about the one we did go on a date with.

Ahh . . . I'm not the greatest at conversation, but may I should try.

What's your theory?

[restitui]

You should, I think they'd enjoy that.


... [ He thinks about how to say it. ] Sometimes, it was like he was a different person. As in, I think there was someone else tagging along - experiencing life with him.

That was the Legend of the Unholy Disorder.

. . . it did seem that way, a bit.

So then - what does that mean, exactly?

... They've woken up. They weren't awake before.


[ Hm. ]

Wilhelm said we'll have to go looking for them, before we can find them. So while I think our actual date will show up - I don't think if you go into the Family Room we'll find them. We're going to need to do that on our own.

What would we have to do to find them?

That part, I'm not sure of. He said we wouldn't find them here yet.

We don't have a lot of places to go here. Maybe some place like the subway could have clues?

[said in a tone that's pretty much just, "of course there's one"]

I think you would know better than me.

Yes, there is, and don't go exploring it alone especially... There's also more floors we haven't gotten to yet that we need to discover.


So maybe the way to get to the Legend is also on one of those other levels?

Just how big is this boat?

. . . that would make sense, though, if you haven't found them anywhere on the floors you have been to.

Infinite... Or it changes to meet needs. I've been to a beach, too.

Yeah. And if we have to get to them that means there must be a way to do so from the boat.

A beach. [a beat] I suppose that isn't the strangest thing.

Would that woman know? Showmaster?

[restitui]

No, she didn't even know there was a subway despite this being her blessing.

[ a beat, thinking. ]

In performances, she can sort of tell the story of people and they appear? Like we saw. So, I guess it's possible if we ask her for a performance specifically with our Legend. It might... give a clue or something.

Oh, it's her blessing.

[what is this place]

It would be worth asking her about that, then.

[restitui]

Yeah, the ship and the stage are both her Blessings. Supposedly.

[ it still feels weird to think about, ]

It'd be something to ask the others about.

And she knows nothing about them.

[but he nods] If it involves all of us, right. Though I get the feeling no one would mind doing it.
